Sonerai 1, (a rather old design) the more recent design by the Monett family is the
Sonex, which is more familiar to most people today..... the recommended engine is a volkswagen engine (76 hp) (direct drive to a wooden prop).... mine will be a low wing version rather than the mid wing used by racers, so that I can get in the plane on top of the spar rather than try to work my legs underneath the mid wing..... the wings are all aluminum, the fuselage is steel tubing wrapped in fabric, gear will be aluminum 5/8 thick down to wheels probably from Grove industries
